ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIRTS
Artwork Size:
Ensure all artwork is made to the final print size.
Inks/Colors and Shirts:
Provide a color comp/proof of the final print in CMYK mode.
Specify ink and shirt colors.
Use Spot Colors chosen from our stock inks or Pantone Coated guide.
Note: Ink colors may shift on colored shirts. Some colors may require an underlay. Contact us for guidance.
Illustrator/Vector Artwork:
Create art to size.
Save in .AI or .EPS format in CMYK color mode (preferably legacy format CS5).
Outline all fonts and convert strokes to Outlines.
Provide files with each color on its own Layer.
Include all imported/placed images and graphic files.
Avoid using Clipping Masks; use the Pathfinder tool instead.

Photoshop/Raster Artwork:
Create art to size.
Save in .PSD or .TIF format in CMYK color mode (or Grayscale for 1-color designs).
Provide files with each color on its own Layer.
Ensure file resolution is between 150dpi and 600dpi.
Typography and Line Weight:
For positive reading type, use a minimum font size of 8pt (12pt for Metallic ink).
For knocked-out text, use a minimum font size of 12pt (16pt for Metallic ink).
For positive reading lines, maintain a minimum stroke weight of 1pt (2pt for Metallic ink).
For knocked-out lines, maintain a minimum stroke weight of 2pt (3pt for Metallic ink).
Technical and Printing Specifics:
Let us determine halftone size and angle.
Industry is not liable for errors or unsatisfactory results caused by client-created halftones.
Proofread all copy; we are not responsible for spelling mistakes.
Avoid using internet images when possible.
Press checks require scheduling and may incur additional fees.
TO AVOID ART FEES:
Keep each file on its own Layer (Photoshop & Illustrator).
Convert all strokes to Outlines.
Avoid using Clipping Masks; use the Pathfinder to simplify shapes.
For file space optimization, convert 1-color designs to Grayscale color mode (Photoshop).
